Triathlon Training Program: TTP Race Training

EB group

This is the OTC's signature program that trains you from start to finish, guiding you to your goals. You'll be part of a training group which will meet once per week with your coach for a two hour workout from May through August. We have lots of classes to choose from: Monday through Thursday at 6, 7 or 8pm or 615am on Tuesday or Thursday!  All classes are held at our home at #10 Hamilton and feature a high intensity indoor spin class, with coaching on technique and pacing, followed by a transition run, muscular strength training and flexibility. It's like doing a mini-triathlon each week with your coach. There is much more to the TTP too, including: unlimited drop-in's, bike fits,
group bike rides, specialized training equipment....all included in the cost!

Starts: May 22, 2017

Track workouts are just like a session in the swimming pool: work on technique, work on fitness, camaraderie, and a coach there to help guide and correct you at every step. And, just like our swims, there is something for athletes of every level. This program is offered to all members of the Ottawa Running Club, our sister organization, and take place on Wednesdays from 6:15pm to 7:15pm.  Annual ORC membership is only $60 and all funds go to support our charitable work in the community.

About

We are very excited to announce that the annual OTC Tremblant spring training camp is a go!  This year, we are very fortunate to secure accomodations at the JB Ski Club.  This co-op club is one of the last remaining privately owned residences to be situated within throwing distance of the main village.  The lodge features right-of-way access to the Ironman swim course, a private bridge with direct access to the upper village, and a gorgeous forested surrounding.

You will be responsible to bring and/or pay for your own food.

Coaches

OTC coaches will be leading group rides, runs and swims right on the Tremblant course and providing expert advice along the way.  As well, OTC coaches will be hosting sessions to highlight key points you need to know to execute a successful race at the Tremblant 70.3, 140.6, or 5150 including:

  • Proper Pacing
  • Key points of the course
  • Pre race and race day nutrition
  • Mental Preparation

Even if you aren't doing a Tremblant race this year or even any a race at all, feel free to come on out and take part in the activities...or just hang out and be inspired by your fellow clubmates.
